500-600 Alton, is a new 50-story luxury condominium tower project, which is scheduled to rise like a beacon at the eastern end of the MacArthur Causeway. A grand water feature in front of the signature tower will act as a stunning note of welcome to South Beach as well as announce the importance of water to this landmark project.

600 Alton Road is the first residential and commercial project seen when entering Miami Beach. Its intimate residences and beautiful interior spaces make it the perfect place to both live and play. The entire ground floor is 60,000 SF of beautifully landscaped indoor and outdoor retail spaces. 600 Alton will be loved by retailers, residents and visitors alike.
The design of the 500-600 Alton project is practical as well as attractive. The water features will hold up to 4 million gallons of water and serve as an expandable reservoir to collect flood waters that sometimes challenge South Beach. Waters will be filtered biologically and cleansed water can be stored or discharged to the Bay.

Major water elements are integral to plans for this gateway development. Complementing the iconic residential tower will be a richly landscaped park of 3.25 acres encompassing three related water areas:a lake, a meandering river and a reservoir.
Present plans for 500-600 Alton call for retail space on the ground levels. Above, each floor will be dedicated to four expansive residences designed to take in spectacular views of Downtown Miami, Biscayne Bay, the barrier islands and the Atlantic. The hand of Perkins+Will will be seen throughout the ultra-modern design.

Tropical habitats in the park, including mangrove and Cyprus forests, will reflect environmental conditions of South Florida and be available for students to analyze.
